California Highway Patrol's CHiPS for Kids toy collection on Friday, December 4 - Orange County Breeze

The California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) annual CHiPs for Kids toy drive gets a helping hand from its community partners.

CHP officers, along with representatives from Helping Hands 4 Kids, Pair of Thieves, Yogurtland Cares, and KTLA 5 will be on hand this Friday, December 4, 2020 for a toy collection event to help underprivileged children this holiday season. The CHP is encouraging the public to help make a difference by donating a new unwrapped toy, sporting good, or game. All donations will go to children within the community.

The contactless event will take place at the CHP’s Westminster Area office located at 13200 Goldenwest St. in the city of Westminster from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The first 100 people to drop off a toy will receive a give-a-way courtesy of Yogurtland Cares and Pair of Thieves.

The CHiPs for Kids program began 32 years ago and couldn’t be done without the help of the community. Our goal is to make a difference in a child’s life while maintaining trust within the community and building positive relationships.

If you are unable to make it this Friday, you can still make a difference by dropping off a gift at any CHP Area office or participating Walgreens location.
