Need a new snack to enjoy with your beer? Cape Cod teamed up with Sam Adams to release potato chips inspired by the brewery’s summer ale, and the limited-edition flavor is cracked pepper with a hint of lemon.
The chips are inspired by the citrus notes of Sam Adam’s summer ale, a crisp American wheat ale with a 5.3 percent ABV and hints of orange, lime, and lemon. The simplicity of the pepper and lemon flavors complement the fruity notes of the beer. Both the chips and ale are available now through the end of this summer while supplies last. You can find the chips in 6.5-ounce bags at retailers nationwide including Ahold, Publix, and Harris Teeter for a suggested retail price of $3.79. Cape Cod’s store locator will help you find places stocked with the snack near you. For the summer ale, Sam Adams has a locator that you can filter to find stores, bars, and restaurants where the drink is available.
If you’re in the mood for a little more than chips and beer, Sam Adams has all of the recs for you on the beer’s product page. For small plates, the brewer suggests a caesar salad, guacamole, and ceviche. Lobster, tuna, and salmon would make stellar main dishes. Of course, you'll have the Cape Cod chips as a side. And for dessert? Try key lime pie or sorbet.
This is the second summer release of the chip and beer pairing, so if you didn't get a chance to try it last year, get on it!
