Fish fries are scheduled Ash Wednesday and Fridays during Lent throughout the Valley, including:


Allegheny Township

Markle and Vandergrift No. 1 volunteer fire departments, 470 Joyce St., takeout only, 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fridays through Good Friday. Menu: battered fish or chicken dinner, with fries and coleslaw; $10; pierogi, fries, coleslaw and fish sandwich. Details: 724-727-7114


Arnold

Arnold Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 Fireman’s Club, 1710-1712 Fifth Ave., dine in, takeout and delivery, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday and 3 to 7 p.m. Fridays through March 26. Menu: beer battered Alaskan pollock sandwich with American cheese, $7; fish sandwich platter, with fries and coleslaw, $11; fish on a dish, shrimp boat, baked fish, halushki, pierogi, coleslaw, fresh-cut fries, baked macaroni and cheese, hush puppies, crab cakes, clam strips, pop and water. Bell Township

Bell Township Volunteer Fire Department, 201 Main St., Salina, takeout only, 4 to 6:30 p.m. Ash Wednesday and Fridays through Good Friday. Same day orders will be accepted as supplies last.


East Vandergrift

Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, 411 Kennedy Ave., takeout only, noon to 6:30 p.m. Ash Wednesday and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Fridays through March 26 in the social hall. Menu: fish dinner, $9.50, includes baked or fried fish, fries or pierogi, coleslaw and roll; fish sandwich, $7; a la carte items available. Orders: 724-568-1313


Harrison

Polish National Alliance, 14 Linden St., Natrona, dine in with limited seating and takeout, 3 to 6:30 p.m. Fridays through March 26 and 2 to 6:30 p.m. Good Friday. Leechburg

Lower Burrell
