PepsiCo’s Bare Snacks brand has expanded its range of dried fruit chips by releasing a new pineapple snack in the US.
Bare Snacks’ range of fruit chips already includes Apple Chips, Banana Chips, Coconut Chips and more, and the new Simply Pineapple Chips are made with one ingredient – pineapple.
The Simply Pineapple Chips feature pineapples which have been baked into chips without the addition of oil, sugar, artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.
Vandita Pandey, general manager at Bare Snacks, said: “At Bare Snacks, we’re dedicated to finding the best tasting fresh fruit varieties from around the world and turning them into crave-able, simple snacks you can enjoy anytime.
“We’re excited to bring that simplicity and crunch to one of the world’s most popular fruits by launching bare Simply Pineapple Chips this summer.”
Simply Pineapple Chips are now available for purchase online, and will be available in 1.6oz bags from selected US retailers later this summer, with a suggested retail price of $4.99 per bag.
Last year, Bare Snacks released a new line of baked fruit and coconut chip blends called Medleys, diversifying its portfolio of fruit snacks.
Bare Snacks was acquired by PepsiCo in 2018, as part of the food and beverage giant’s strategy to expand its snack offering in the face of faltering soft drink sales.
