The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission visited Lake Luxembourg in Core Creek Park and delivered hundreds of pounds of live trout.
Early Wednesday afternoon, the trout stocking truck pulled up at the lake shoreline with a small crowd gathered to watch the process.
Fish and Boat Commission Officer Michael Blair was on hand to help stock the 166-square-acre county-owned lake, which happens at least twice per year.
The lake was stocked with about 700 pounds of trout at two locations, Blair said.
Due to COVID-19, the public was not invited to assist as crews stocked the lake.
Lake Luxembourg is open for trout fishing year around with certain regulations, Blair said. (More information here)
Ron Ernst, a fishman from Newtown, was on hand and prepared to cast his line in the freshly stocked lake.

“There they are,” he said looking at the lake.
Ernst said he usually helps stock the lake and looks forward to fishing, especially since he is retired.
