Banner Smoked Fish of Brooklyn, N.Y., has recalled it smoked fish because it has “the potential to be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes,” according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
During a routine inspection, the FDA said it found the fish was “processed under unsanitary condition.”
The smoked fish was distributed through retail sales and distribution as well as through online sales in Pennsylvania as well as New York, New Jersey, Illinois, California, Florida, Nebraska, Arizona, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, Nevada, Oregon, Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
