Walleye fishing on Green Bay is good, with limit catches taking place in several locations.
The Fox River at De Pere, Geanos Reef, Vincent Point, Young’s Reef, North-South reef, Bayshore Park and Kidney Island are all putting out the fish, as are deep mud areas of the Sharkfin, Oconto Shoal and Pensaukee Shoal.
Trolling Flicker Shads, Flicker Minnows, Shad Raps, Smithwick P10’s and Salmo Hornets has been best.
Casting Ripper minnows and Binks spoons are also taking fish.
As a reminder, the current limit on walleye in the Fox River is three fish with no size limit.
Perch fishing is also good, with anglers catching limits of great eating 10-12” fish at Suamico, Oconto, Geanos Reef, Vincent Point, Macos Reef, Bayshore Park and off Dykesville.
Minnows, crawlers and helgramites are the best baits for perch.
Muskie fishing is good, as water temps cooling into the 62-65 degree range put these large predators on the feed.
Crankbaits such as Super Shad Raps, Tyrant Raz Shads, Tyrant Czars, Shallow Invaders, and large Storm stickbaits are taking fish.
Just a reminder to please handle these great fish with care when releasing them.
Shore fishing is really improving as the temperatures drop and the bait fish migrate into the river systems.|
As always, please be safe on the water and take a kid fishing.
Yah, only at Smokeys!
