THE RIVER WILD — We've all seen rivers that have fish in them. Heck, sometimes there are rivers — like the one featured earlier this year — that look as though there might actually be more fish in them than water.

But have you ever seen a river of fish? Check out this bizarre video:

The video is less than 30 seconds long but still packs a punch as millions of tiny fish slowly cascade down a dusty slope. How did they get there? Based on the fact that there are humans in the area (as evidenced by the footprints, pointing fingers and video recording), I'm going to assume that our species had something to do with it.

Perhaps the folks from Berkeley were testing a new type of PowerBait and the scent was so powerful that it lured all these fish from a nearby river.

Or, maybe it's a military innovation, where "fish roads" can be created so that soldiers have an easier time walking over difficult terrain.

Too far-fetched?

My final guess is that a fish hatchery truck was driving in the area and somebody forgot to close the release valve in the back. So, instead of replenishing a river or pond with fish, the hatchery workers created one of the strangest sights of 2022.
