It's been a great month for snacks, particularly, potato chips. First, a bag of pickle-flavored chips at Costco went viral. Now, Aldi has seemingly, quite sneakily, released a new lineup of chips just in time for summer snacking. And let me be the first to say, the store did not miss—every single flavor is appealingly enough to plan an Aldi run around.

Our team first spotted the snacks on an Aldi fan account on Instagram and were immediately abuzz with excitement. Because these are not your run-of-the-mill chip flavors—they're next-level flavors inspired by iconic summer eats. And the best part? One of those flavors is my all-time favorite chip flavor which is increasingly hard to find in the U.S. Here's why you should be running to Aldi for a bag (or four).

Aldi Now Sells All Dressed Chips

Aldi finally carries its own version of All Dressed chips, a staple Canadian snack. What is All Dressed, you ask? It's quite literally dressed with all the flavors. They're potato chips coated with BBQ, Ketchup, and Salt & Vinegar seasonings and they are dang delicious.

Tangy, totally flavor-coated, and perfectly mouth-puckering, the combination of flavors yields one that is unlike any other chip on the market (although they are reminiscent of my favorite Trader Joe's snack). I first tried All Dressed chips when I went to college (or "university") in Canada, but they're also known and beloved by residents of Northern states close to the Canadian border, like Maine.

To know All Dressed chips is to love them. And while both Lay's U.S. and Whole Foods have sold their own versions of the chips at times, they're increasingly hard to find stateside. Aldi has made my dreams come true by bringing its own version to the States—sold under its generic name brand, Clancy's—just in time for summer.

Aldi's Summer Snack Lineup

According to the Instagram post, the other four flavors of chips in the summer snack lineup are: Fried Pickle Ranch Wavy Potato Chips, Loaded Bacon & Cheddar Wavy Potato Chips, Spicy Dill Pickle Wavy Potato Chips, and Mexican-Style Street Corn Flavored Corn Chips. Take a second to let those sink in.

For one, Aldi has not one, but two(!) pickle-themed flavors of potato chips and the fact that the fried pickle flavor also has ranch seasoning?! Touché, Aldi. The Mexican-Style Street Corn Dippers remind me of the fan-favorite Trader Joe's Elote Corn Chip Dippers, and if they're anything like TJ's they'll be unbelievably tasty and the perfect pairing for salsa and guacamole.

We can't wait to get our hands on all of these chips, so thank you, Aldi, for helping to start Summer 2023 off on a particularly tasty note.
