A father and son from Virginia, U.S., are on the pursuit of a Canadian national treasure: Ketchup chips.
Over the weekend, Jim's No Frills, located in Niagara Falls, Ont., shared photos of the duo that embarked on a nine-hour road trip to the Canadian border town to get their hands on Lay's ketchup chips, in bulk.
"Father-son road trip from Virginia to Canada for some Ketchup Chips!" the caption read, alongside two photos of the pair in action.
They posed next to the cartload of ketchup chips they purchased, before loading them into their vehicle.
The post quickly garnered laughter and admiration from commenters.
"This is so funny!" one person wrote, while another commented, "Welcome to Canada!"
Someone joked: "Should be good for a couple of weeks!"
"I'm in Florida but originally I'm from Ontario. I ask people to bring me ketchup chips when they come to visit," someone else shared.
"This is just so heart-touching. I love that you made a road trip with your son to come to Canada to get something you both enjoy. I wish you both safe travels back to Virginia. Much love from Canada!" another Facebook user shared.
Ketchup chips aren't the only popular snack exclusive to Canada. The "Great White North" boasts a wide variety of unique treats that have captured the hearts and taste buds of locals and visitors alike.
This isn't the first time Canada's unique food offerings have enamoured Americans. Last year, TikToker Mason Tannar went viral when she shared her Bulk Barn haul with her American followers.
“Literally my jaw is on the floor, this is the craziest place I’ve ever been,” said Tannar in the video.
The U.S. doesn't have an equivalent of Bulk Barn.
